In this edition of “Mondays with Matt” we discuss who to reach out to when you need help or advice.
Matt expressed that when you work at a world renowned course like Merion with a staff of 50 (half of them with turf degrees), you can often look to your co-workers for advice, thoughts or ideas.
Matt also recalled a couple other resources to reach out to for help or advice.
- Friends in the industry. Specifically other superintendents in the surrounding area. It’s never bad to befriend turfcare professionals at nearby courses.
- Previous college professors. Matt said his college professors would always be there in a heartbeat for him.
“It’s a tough business, you need friends.”
