In this edition of “Mondays with Matt” we discuss things to look for when trying to hire a team of good workers.
More than anything, Matt stressed that it’s important to really listen to candidates during their interview. Ask them about why they are interested in the job and try to pick up on tone and attitude.
Matt listed a few things he looks for when hiring workers:
- Willingness to learn
- Good attitude and a hard worker
In the same breath, Matt also added that it’s not always wrong to hire a new employee based on a gut feeling, because sometimes people can surprise you.
